Reality Bites

From a vanilla forum about office workers of yesteryear, Julie commented:

Further to the comment about spanking at work. My Aunt worked in the City during the 1950s, 60s and 70s. She told me the spanking of office girls was far from unheard of. When she began working at 17 she almost got the sack for making so many mistakes. She said she burst into tears when was given her final warning. Her boss gave her a handkerchief and told her not to worry but that he had daughters and he would spank her if he had to see her in his office again.

A week later she was spanked by him, “nothing sexual” she was sure, just how it was. He spanked her several times and after the first time he used a ruler across her knickers.

She said as she got older she didn’t really question it and several of her bosses spanked (both men and women). At 21 she got her first bare bottom spanking from a man and was spanked on the bare almost every week after that. She thinks by the end of the 1960s things were “getting a bit cheeky” as she told it. Word got around that she was “a bit of a sport” and she got a few spankings well into her 30s.

She said some of them were real stingers and she had to go to the washroom for a good cry and after sometimes she could not sit down. “But better than the sack,” she was pretty sanguine about it. “Mostly,” she said, “It was just a bit of fun.”

By the mid-1970s she was one of the bosses and I asked her if she ever spanked anyone. She said “maybe once or twice.” She never married but lived with her female friend for many years. Nothing was ever said but I am pretty sure it was just girls she spanked.

  1. I was an office worker in the 70s and my boss was a spanker although he didn’t actually spank me until we were married in 73 he was a very proper man

  2. Hi naughtynora not that I am aware of, he was quite a proper man respectful, I think the reason I got it was I could be very annoying he threatened me on several occasions before we were engaged, and I took it as a joke, after we were engaged I knew his threats were serious but the first time he spanked me properly was on our wedding night to prove he was serious, also showing me then what he would use if necessary.

  3. Needless to say conduct from management within the work place has changed a bit. However anyone with a supervisory or
management position knows all too well that there are employees who certainly would “benefit” from a traditional spanking!

My grandmother used to be a secretary back in the days when letters were dictated. The boss seldom proofread the letters that were typed up; he just signed them and had them mailed out. So dictation mistakes were fairly common. Where my grandma worked it was a common practice for a secretary who messed up a letter to be ordered over the boss’s desk for several whacks with a ruler, always over her pencil skirt. The girls then would giggle about it and wonder whose bum was the boss’s favorite. This is what grandma told me!
