A Quick Word

It has been a busy week and next week looks no less so. I have dozens of blog related tasks to chase up and more than a few more important pressing life matters. I know I owe several people emails.

Thanks to Vlad for information about JPC and where to find his art. Here is a link to JPCs Deviant art gallery.

Among my many tasks are some possible book reviews. However, I have had no time for reading, let alone writing.

I thought it was worth mentioning that Lucy Appleby has got a new book just out – Punished in the Reformatory. Here is the publishers blurb:

Selena’s cunning plan to have a look inside Birchwood Reformatory backfires and she finds herself incarcerated at the top secret facility with other women inmates. Judge Garrick sentences her to 63 days at the strict institution, during which time she will undertake physical labour, improve her education, learn obedience… and be regularly subjected to rigorous corporal punishment. The regime at Birchwood is not for the faint-hearted with Selena stumbling from one thrashing to the next, and her accumulated penalty points earn her extra special attention at Justice Night, with its catalogue of humiliating and inventive punishments.

But something is happening to Selena she doesn’t fully understand. Her initial curiosity stemmed from a secret pleasure in watching other girls getting spanked and disciplined, but to her surprise, she begins not only to crave corporal correction herself, but to take sexual pleasure from it. The days are long, the sadistic wardens take pride in their work, and Selena and her cohorts have very sore bottoms…

I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, so this isn’t a review. But you may remember that Lucy and I once co-wrote The Lord and the Librarian some years ago.

That book was part one in a trilogy called The Prophecy, which sadly we have as yet not completed. I won’t ask you to hold your breath and my writing slate has a few projects to complete yet. But who knows, perhaps we will revisit it again in the not to distant future.
