More from the Age of Innocence

spanking cartoonspanking cartoonspanking cartoonThe pictures above, another contribution from TipTopper, would cause offence today more for their social-political insensitivity rather than their muted sexual content.

However, back in the 1960s when they were published, such considerations were barely considered. Also readers of the magazines they appeared in, were either oblivious to the sexual content, or could readily pretend to be.

Obviously, the sexual content was almost certainly intended, if only by the artists. The rather racy underwear is enough to confirm that even if we did not know that two of the artists concerned were Bill Ward and Riley.

    Damian,
the stories that they illustrated were often highly arousing. 😉
Such magazines were generally kept out of sight. 🙂

      Thanks for that.

It was a little before my time. I have only ever seen them in quite tame publications – they seem so innocent now. 😉
