Spanking and bondage

08Aug11

Spanking and bondage is often an acquired taste, which some people never get an appetite for. Certainly if your thing is female submission, then one might argue bondage has a limited appeal. Having a woman bend over, however reluctantly, to cooperate with her spanking has to be more fun. After all one volunteer is worth 10 pressed women.

Certainly all those grim pulp novels such as Naked Cargo and Captive, where the heroine is kidnapped have very little appeal to true spanking aficionado.

Still there is a certain frisson to be had from seeing a woman strapped helplessly over a flogging block or some such. Also many women ask for the favour, since moving out of position often incurs penalty strokes.

Also many women and men have a taste for bondage in its own right. It does after all have a time honoured pedigree.

Interestingly, bondage is often more acceptable in mainstream movies than spanking. Interesting, because where spanking and depictions of spanking is not illegal, under UK law, bondage often is. This is because there are ‘guidelines’ about not depict women (or people) ‘in peril’ in a sexual context following a feeble attempt by politicians to make illegal ‘snuff movies’ even more illegal than they already were, presumably as an alternative to actually tackling the problem. Isn’t that is a little bit like saying ‘murder, it is an outrage, it shouldn’t be allowed, there should be a law against it.’

Don’t worry, the picture above is perfectly alright though because the woman is clearly having a great time.

  1. “One volunteer is worth ten pressed women.” Great point of view, as always, DJ. You have a way of looking at things…

Though my tastes run more purient and prefer the damsel taken across a knee for a good scolding and such, bondage does have its’ inane allure. The problem is, one naturally jumps to the extremes of leather and chains and such, most of which is totally predicated on cooperation and choice.

Though I applaud the PC police and agree with real-life consent, in fantasy, consent ruins the whole scene. The bondage written about of the young female reporters, both tied across barrels for a sound strapping, much against their “consent” was amazing. The electricity such a scene evokes would all but disappear if the gals just laid themselves across the barrells and yelled, “Hey, mate, whack-away!”

So, bondage in itself, may help add to a fantasy scene, especially if it forces the heroine to suffer added humiliation at her exposure, such as being put in stocks on the public square for a sound birching! Being exposed for everyone’s eyes, well, the humiliation would be palpable.

The whole concept of submission and allowing another to do things to you, hurtful things, at their whim. This power exchange is deep and goes beyond the simple chastisement of a naughty heroine! It’s more of a head-game, and the darker the dungeon, off-times, the greater the thrill.
Nevertheless, it’s all too heavy for my tender sensitivities! (lol)

Good point of discussion! Thanks for sharing!
